Chapli Kebab Recipe

 


Here is a recipe for Chapli Kebab:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ginger paste
  • 2 tablespoons garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds, ground
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds, ground
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, tomatoes, green chilies, ginger paste, garlic paste, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, red chili powder, and salt.

  2. Add the egg, cilantro, and mint leaves to the mixing bowl, and mix everything together well.

  3. Let the mixture rest for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.

  5. Take a handful of the meat mixture and shape it into a flat patty, about 1/2 inch thick.

  6. Place the patties into the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy.

  7. Remove the Chapli Kebabs from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil.

  8. Serve hot with a side of raita (yogurt sauce) and some naan bread.
